Daryl K. Boffard, M.D., FACOG—Dr. Boffard is a graduate of Rutgers University, Phi Beta Kappa, and UMDNJ, The New Jersey Medical Center, Livingston, New Jersey. He has been a Board-Certified Fellow of The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists since 1987 and was recertified in 1987.
He is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Medical Association, the Union County Medical Society, the New Jersey Obstetrical and Gynecological Society, and the Alumni Association of the New Jersey Medical School.
Dr. Boffard is a member of the medical staff at St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, New Jersey; Overlook Hospital, Summit, New Jersey; and Union Hospital, Union, New Jersey.
Isaac L. Victor, M.D., FACOG—Dr. Victor is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and UMDNJ, the New Jersey Medical School. He completed his residency at St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, New Jersey. He has been a Board-Certified Fellow of The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists since 1996.
He is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Medical Association, the New Jersey Medical Association, and the Alumni Association of the New Jersey Medical School.
Dr. Victor has published an article on Selective Fetal Reduction in the St. Barnabas Medical Center Journal. He has also presented many scholarly papers including: "Isoimmunization in Pregnancy," "Analgesic Use in Chronic Cancer Pain," "Ultrasound in Gynecology," "Male Infertility," "Herpes in Pregnancy," "Percutaneous "Umbilical Blood Sampling," "Meningomyelocele," and "Epilepsy in Pregnancy."
Dr. Victor is a member of the medical staff at St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, New Jersey, and Overlook Hospital, Summit, New Jersey.
Susan A. Peck, R.N.C., M.S.N. (Nurse Practitioner)—Ms. Peck received her B.S.N. from Trenton State College, now the College of New Jersey. She graduated from Seton Hall University with a Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Women's Health Care. She is nationally certified as a Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner and is licensed in the State of New Jersey.
Ms. Peck has received numerous nursing honors, most recently the Outstanding Graduate Student Award at Seton Hall University. She is a member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women's Health, Sigma Theta Tau (International Honor Society of Nursing), The American Nurse's Association, the New Jersey State Nurses' Association, and the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses. She is also on the College of New Jersey Alumni Association and is a founding member of the College of New Jersey Nursing Alumni Chapter. Ms. Peck has recently published an article in the Journal of Obstetric, Gynecologic, and Neonatal Nursing. "The Importance of the Sexual Health History in the Primary Care Setting" can be found in the May/June 2001 edition.
Ms. Peck sees both obstetric and gynecology patients independently, collaborating with the physicians when necessary. She has full prescriptive privileges in the State of New Jersey.
What Is a Nurse Practitioner?
Many of our patients ask, what is a nurse practitioner? A Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a registered nurse (R.N.) with graduate education and advanced training in diagnosing and treating illness. Nurse practitioners are nationally certified in specialty areas, like OB/GYN and work under the Nurse Practice Act of the state in which they work. NPs perform physical assessment and intervention, order, and interpret diagnostic testing, prescribe medications, and provide education to allow their patients to be proactive in their own health care decisions. Nurse practitioners have an excellent record of patient satisfaction and have been found to provide the highest quality health care.
